Zamfara Governor Bello Matawalle has appointed Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau as Deputy Governor following the impeachment of Barr. Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.
Sen Gusau defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in June 2021.
Gusau represents the Zamfara Central at the National Assembly.
Zamfara Assembly, during its resumed plenary on Wednesday, impeached Gusau as Deputy Governor with immediate effect.
In a statement, Zamfara Assembly spokesperson, Mustafa Jafaru Kaura, said the former Deputy Governor was found guilty of all the allegations levelled against him
