Manchester United have responded to shock allegations made against England international Mason Greenwood.
The Red Devils issued a statement that they are “aware of images and allegations circulating on social media.”
United declined to make any further comment on the allegations “until the facts have been established.”
However, the Premier League club added that they do not “condone violence of any kind” amid allegations levelled at the 20-year-old striker.
“We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media,” reads the statement.
“We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester United does not condone violence of any kind.”
Greenwood came through the United youth academy and has scored 35 times in 129 senior appearances for the Red Devils.
The United player has featured regularly in the first team this season, with Greenwood scoring six times and registering two assists in 24 appearances.
United will resume their FA Cup campaign on 4th February when they welcome Middlesbrough to Old Trafford.
